lmao, imagine talking s./hit about a guy 6-0 in boxing after boxing for 2 years. Taking an L to a guy who was 8-0 and the brother of a professional boxer.

These guys put their own foot in their mouths ,they literally made Tommy look bad and stating he struggled with a you tube boxer is what they basically did .

Everyone who knows boxing knows Froch would destroy Jake Paul with a right hand no question regardless of age. If a C level club fighter like Fury can do it it's not even a question and this is where the difference in boxing from a young age compared to boxing in your 20's. Fury might not be the best boxer but he has better technique and most importantly muscle memory you aren't going to develop that in 3-4 years.

Jake's a good athlete and for being a few years in boxing he didn't do terrible against an actual boxer. Yeah he lost nearly every round but boxers do that as well he just lost to the better boxer. I respect him for going through the camps, trying to learn the sport and promoting it on a larger scale if you disagree you are just hating, but he will never be champion and I don't think he will ever beat a top 20 active boxer.

With that being said he did use the sport of "boxing" to outclass some MMA strikers so that just goes to show that boxing striking is in a whole other league his skills just don't match against actual boxers. If he changes trainers I could see him improving BJ Flores is a yes man I saw no plan B or C from Paul in the entire fight he just kept looking for 1 shot. If he got with an actual boxing trainer who has world championship fighters and immerses himself in an actual gym with active pros maybe he could improve he's still young.

Do you recall the guy Cotto fought in his 9th fight? Or the guy Trinidad fought in his 8th fight?

Tommy and Paul just happen to be famous too soon before their boxing careers start. That’s a terrible position to be in.

Yours is a very fair assessment. You are right about Jake’s lack of punching skills/ability. He’s tough for sure but that’s about it.
I have a feeling, Jake will probably fight Chavez Jr next to build rounds.

These kind of circus fights are expected to get such a reaction , the only question was , could Paul who sells himself incredibly well for what he is, beat a pro who is himself very limited in experience but with a famous family name . Carl is trying to sell something along the lines of ,could Paul beat a retired old fighter who was the real deal.I don't think he will take the bait , I hope he don't .I see a Paul v Fury 2 which was slightly less embarrassing than I thought it would be but still at novice level and that's what this match up is .....a pair of novices and one with a grumpy old dad who is completely cringe worthy and appears on the verge of ripping his shirt off if he doesn't like his starter or main course ....it's a joke really.
