They looked like glorified sparring bouts.

I'm not sure if boxing ought to consider a rule change, or what.
But what I say on Friday and Saturday was fighters being almost completely unwilling to engage.
    That's a problem.
    A real problem.
Unwilling to engage isn't always unwillingness to fight though. There was no reason for Scull to come forward against Canelo - it's not his style and it would suit his opponent. He stayed disciplined, boxed the best fight he could and didn't fall short by that much. Scull was trying to suck in Canelo - Canelo stayed disciplined too.

The problem is putting it on PPV. It wasn't the best v the best (yeah I know Scull held a title but, come on). It wasn't set to be a great fight.

When you put fights like that on PPV you damage the sport. Casuals don't watch, and those that do watch are put off doing it again.

Turki reminds me of the orange dude living in the WH. He’s bent on doing what he wants which makes no sense, continues to pay fighters like Canelo who are only interest in the check. Imagine if the UFC, which pays fighters one tenth of boxing divas make, stunk out the place like has become acceptable since Turki arrived, they would be out of business.

For those of you who think Turki is involved in “The Boxing League” which was recently announced, be advised that the powers that be of “The League” don’t want him involved at all. In fact, Turki is nothing more than a figure head, so, he will not have any opinion on how “The League” operates or is run. Zero.

In fact many promoters are tell their fighters, take the Saudi money before the pipe runs dry. If he want to over pay, F him.

The Canelo v Crawford is a case in point. For reasons nobody can explain, Turki has been told Crawford didn’t look good against Madrimov. Perhaps the moving up in weight, certainly his skills as well as Cenelo’s are both in decline. If he didn’t look good at 154, what on earth do you expect at 168? Still, Turki’s dictatorship is in his DNA. Canelo v Crawford, will be a bust. Maybe the fool will finally learn.

It takes a fool to learn.
Bud Canelo point is because of the fans. Look at the hype for it and how many are actually picking Bud. A lot of them. If fans kept the pressure on for Canelo Benavidez im sure Turki would have thrown money at it by now. But the fans and even people in boxing have over hyped Bud Canelo to the point it got made. Remember even before Bud fought Madrimov the hype started by "fans" calling Bud to fight Canelo. So they basicslly begged for Canelo to fight a welterweight. Even worse is Dana White promoting the circus
