In India / Pakistan, cricket by far is the biggest sport (the game between them gets more viewers than any sport you mention inc the superbowl. A lot of the fighters like Hamzah now are 2nd or 3rd generation British Pakistanis, they get into boxing in the UK as they are born and brought up there. That is why there are more and more on uk cards as since Khan they also now have more opportunities to go pro or be signed by the likes of warren and eddie etc

    It is a build thing.

Asian's play most sports including boxing. For example Japan and Korea have produced hall of fame fighters in the lower end of the scale. They just are not big enough to be good fighters at 160 or over. Neither are Mexicans.

India and Pakistan are even less and do not produce many big and talented fighters above 160+. India has plenty of pro boxers and the world largest population.

This pretty much excludes them for the NFL, NBA, NHL, Tennis, Boxing/MMA @ 160 and over etc.. as these sports require size to compete at the highest levels.

Me -- I am waiting for a good jockey who is also good at boxing! A small fry with a punch like a horse or camel kick! Now that man is really living.

However, as far as Sheeraz is concerned, I DON'T think you can consider him a failure just because he arguably lost his last fight (CompuBox stats were 143 vs. 135 & 7-5 in Adames' favour). After all, not many fighter's have the talent to even fight for a world title plus PLENTY of boxers have won a world title after losing e.g. Khan, Marquez, Lomachenko, Hopkins etc. Don't be so quick to write him off.
I can write now based on how he looked.

Carlos Adames out-landed Hamzah Sheeraz in power punches by a 90-48 margin, according to CompuBox, but the fight resulted in a split draw. Adames landed 90 more power punches than Sheeraz, according to a tweet from CompuBox, but the judges did not score the fight in Adames' favor. Adames also landed 123 more total punches in the final eight round

Compubox can be used to sniff out BS decisions!

Dev looks good, but he best stay in the weight divsion were he is.

Not sure your plenty of pro boxers is accurate in comparison to how big the population and sport is over there. Boxing is not a big sport at all in those countries (Pak/India) have nearly 2 billion people and i don't think there are even over 1000 when it comes to pro boxing directly from those countries. In the UK there are quite a few British Pakistani (UK born) that are pro now, im not sure on the exact stats but British Indians i think there may be less. Khan has paved the way for them
