Lamont doesn't deserve this. He deserves to be the champ and fight whomever he wants next. This scum tactic is as old as boxing. They won't let Champ/A-side lose so they gift him a draw, and get to try again.
I've said this 2x before, it's like the ball popping out of the middle of the jug at the carnival and the carny says, " Oooo so close. Try again $5" It was a rigged game to begin with. Why the hell would anyone want to play the sucker again?
For the money Tank brings to one fight? Roach is going to lose (we already know he can't win) and you will never hear from him again probably. So it better be good cause it'll probably be his last real payday.

You make a lot of really good points and I hope that you are wrong about how it's going to end but unfortunately we've all seen how it plays out far too often and you are way more likely to be right about the outcome. It's a ****ty deal but at least Roach gets a good payday out of it and a chance to even further enhance his profile.
