I think Haney's performance showed that he's HUMAN and not some indestructible monster. After all, Ramirez is a 2x world champion but he still won a shutout. Also, at least he had the BALLS to return to the ring unlike Spence who suffered a similar beatdown but is still scared to leave the house!...

Yep...people tend to PROJECT their own insecurities and failures onto others who fail (or even succeed) because it makes them 'feel better' about themselves...PATHETIC! I believe that all humans are connected to one another and it's human nature to feel triggered/down when somebody else fails in whatever...

Good point...there are definitely SOME fighter's who deliberately avoid other fighter's and cherry-pick their way to an undefeated record. However, at the end of the day, MOST fighter's have had plenty of amateur + pro fighters so are pretty much willing to fight anybody if the money's right. Therefore,...

Great analogy plus boxing's an INDIVIDUAL sport unlike basketball and most other sports. Also, the legends of the past fought hundreds of times and finished with 20+ losses each but nobody bats an eyelid and it DOESN'T diminish their greatness....

Agreed but a fighter's only as good as his LAST performance. For example, Sheeraz was getting hyped to the moon after 3 very impressive victories but we shouldn't hold it against him for daring to be great and failing....

    Boxing fans are BRUTAL

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly some people write off an entire fighter's career despite one bad loss or performance. For example, Haney is a former champion in 2 weight classes (including undisputed) yet one bad performance against PED taking Garcia and he's suddenly one of the worst fighter's...

  • Tank clearly LOST the first fight...the pitbull fight was close but Roach definitely beat him by a couple of rounds. It'll be interesting to see what adjustments he makes in the rematch but what surprised me most was Roach's punch resistance plus the fact that he managed to wobble Tank a few times despite...

  • I'd LOVE to see Teo putting a beating on Haney and then getting beaten up by Boots.

  • For me 46yo Pacman beating Barrios CONVINCINGLY after 5 years out of the ring will be even more impressive than Crawford beating Canelo at the end of his career!

Agreed...Dev is definitely the BEST Indian prospect above 154lbs (although there are at least 2 others I consider just as good). However, as far as Sheeraz is concerned, I DON'T think you can consider him a failure just because he arguably lost his last fight (CompuBox...

  • Interesting! I’m rooting for Sheeraz but will pick Berlanga in the Pick ‘Em simply because I think coming off a ‘loss’ and moving to a new weight class with a new trainer will be too much for Sheeraz. He also seems a bit mentally FRAGILE after the recent criticism but I hope you’re right!...

Nishant Dev currently fights @ 154lbs but will probably move up and has the POTENTIAL to fight for a world title one day....

  • Lol there's NO history besides Khan and you can't just stereotype an entire race by one fighter!

Also, I disagree that he's overrated...he DESTROYED Williams, Ukrainian Olympian, Denny & Ammo who are all DECENT fighters (although no world beaters hence Williams falling short every time...

  • Agreed but Berlanga's a LOT better than people give him credit for. Who are you picking for the fight?...

  • That would've been a GREAT tune-up fight as they still have unfinished business although Skeete retired several years ago....

  • Agreed but he still went the distance with Eubank whereas Sheeraz demolished him in just a round....

  • Lol I'm not saying he's anything special but the fact that Sheeraz blasted him out in ONE round (after dropping/wobbling him multiple times) is impressive....

Well said...I'd also argue that his HANDS are quicker than most young fighters too. Checkout this video from just 6 months ago...
