I don't see how you can equate the two. One involves people that are different and want to be accepted. The other involves a horrible crime that victimizes children. They don't have an agenda. They just want the same rights as everyone else. Nobody is forcing you to watch them on TV and it's up to the parents to decide what their kids watch. I don't get why every generation has to go through this. It was rock n roll in the 50s corrupting children and there were films saying gay men were pedos, then rap music in the 80s and 90s, violent movies and video games. So your argument is what? Trans people are the same as criminals? They want to convert people to their side? Or is it that they want to be accepted, rather than beaten and/or driven to suicide? Underage kids aren't allowed to change their gender. And people who do have to go through a long time of therapy before they're considered a good candidate for either hormone treatments, surgery or both.

Now if, by some freak occurrence, pedophilia becomes a thing, I and most people, I imagine, will agree that's messed up and should not simply be an orientation, since that's an actual crime.
