Mine was Pac Man vs. Del la Hoya - I not only got it wrong I mouthed off how annoyed I was that Oscar was grabbing and easy payday with a mismatch. Much, much egg on my face.

P.S. you can't use Tyson- Douglas - that's a cop-out - you have to pick one where you looked ****** not the whole world with you.

      - -Not to brag because I don't bet on boxing because of the inept or corrupt officiating, but I mostly pick the winner whether official or not.

As a kid unplugged from the shenanigans of Foreman/Ali because of the Zaire strongman limited press dispatches and access, the prevailing fear was Foreman was going to literally kill or maim Ali who was looking very fragile, and indeed the physical damage done to Ali can be seen in his weak post Foreman performances and ducking of the lucrative rematch by Herbert and Ferdie who noted the permanent damage done to Ali after that fight. Still, I didn't anticipate Ali would KO him though Foreman was up by the count of 10.

It seems Clayton who was two years inactive at the time was worn down in the heat and humidity as well and probably sensed the massive thunderstorm that broke out immediately after the fight, so whether by purpose or design, it was the right time to end that monkey business of a fight.

As far as Tyson/Douglas, the Tyson travails with King and Givens were well documented in advance including getting dropped by Greg Page in sparring. Unlike others, I knew Buster was a big strong guy and certainly not the quitter he was made out to be by the regrettable press in the day and now. He put up a helluva fight vs Tony Tucker who managed to turn up the heat late to KO Buster in a very underrated fight. I didn't pick Buster to win, but I knew Mike was unraveling like a cheap sweater and Buster might could be the one.

I'd say Field vs Tyson. Tyson was ready to be beat again, but Field by all the evidence was shot, and again we feared for his life. Surprisingly tough fight turned on a signature Field headbutt that opened up Tyson who is one of those guys who can't stand the sight of his own blood. Ironically, when Tubby Lar opened up Field like a stuck pig, he visibly melted, but Lar only had popcorn for offense so Field got a pass for that fight. That's when the PED allegations that had been whispered became a crescendo.

Holyfield - Tyson 1. At the time, I thought Evander was more or less finished, and had practically no chance at all.

Calzaghe - Lacy. I figured Lacy would walk right through him... and as round after round followed the same ass-kicking pattern, I could barely understand, what my eyes were telling me!

            Just Fury-Wilder

I had a good record before I went full in with Deontay. I didn't like to put my name to **** unless I knew....so Floyd and Andre were my guys. Then Wilder came around and I did the same for him but this time my golden goose was fool's gold.

Barrera vs Pacquiao. I was a big MAB fan then, so I went into that one with a little bias. I actually hated Pacquiao after that fight. Took me a while to warm up to him.

Jones vs Tarver rematch, didn’t see that coming.

              Sadam Ali vs Cotto

Rungvisai vs Gonzalez and Estrada vs Rungvisai

I just read Bundana and I also thought Lacy would beat Calzaghe lol.
