Comments Thread For: Jean Carlos Torres Wants Title Shot, Says Ramirez Beats Taylor in a Rematch

Josh Taylor (18-0) made history last month in Las Vegas at the ****** Hotels and Casino. The 30-year-old became the first Scotsman to become an undisputed champion with his unanimous decision victory over Jose Ram?rez (26-1). Taylor dropped Ram?rez twice and the two extra points proved to be the difference on scorecards as all three judges had it 114-112.

I think we all know Ramirez is the better fighter barely lost and Taylor had to hold on for dear life to eke out the disputed win.

If Ramirez wants the rematch he's gonna have to go to Scotland for it I reckon. No way does Taylor risk fighting him in the US again after those abysmal scorecards. Ramirez fought well and wasn't outclassed, but there's no way he won 6 rounds.

No, you delude yourself that Ramirez is the better fighter. We however do know Taylor is the better fighter of the two. He proved it. Ramirez had all the advantages with the ref and judges on his side, home advantage, and having been more active than Taylor was. Taylor showed how superior he was by clearly beating Ramirez regardless of those North American scorecards. Taylor remains undefeated while Ramirez has been given his 3rd defeat after Zepeda and Postal also beat him.
