Even if you have a fighter who is winning regularly and climbing the ranks and winning ABC belts but gets booed routinely and will not go for the KO even if he gets the opportunity and prefers the safe route each time out, can he ever be a star? I mean, Shakur recently put us all to sleep and while being touted as a star, that's not for sure yet, by any means, despite the backing he's getting. And Boo Boo put people to sleep and took the safe route and just lost what will probably be the most watched fight of his career. So, it a fighter is never in a war or has a good KO ratio and has no real element of excitement, will he ever be a real star that draws big crowds?

If he's not exciting, he needs to put on a villain persona, make himself hated.
Trash the nice image nonsense and put asses on seats to see you lose.

All the way to the highest money earner in this sport but you gotta put on the villain cap to get there.

All you have to do is win whenever you face a so called draw.
Andre Ward
Winky Wright
Benard Hopkins
All of them just beat popular fighter after popular fighter in route to the hall of fameLast edited by Hustle; 11-29-2023, 07:00 PM.STREET CLEANER likes this.

Rigo is one of the best examples. All that talent and he was a bore to watch. Camacho second half of his career was boring to watch but he sold the persona.

Gotta be lightweight and up. If you're boring at the little guy weights, you may make champion but you're not going to get paid a lot. Sunny Edwards, for instance. Even if he beats Bam Rodriguez, I doubt he's ever going to be superstar material.Tony Trick-Pony likes this.
