Comments Thread For: Algieri: Hurd-Rosario draw makes sense, Valle one to watch

Chris Algieri says he has no problem with the result of Wednesday night's ProBox TV main event, which saw former junior middleweight beltholders Jarrett Hurd and Jeison Rosario battle to a split draw. But, adds the former 140 pound titlist, who was calling the fight alongside Paulie Malignaggi, the contest also showed that neither man is the force he once was.

I didn't score it but at the end I felt like Rosario had won the fight by a round or two.
The Valle kid fought well , he's got some pretty good boxing skill and is huge for the weight. Piedrahita didn't come to lay down , good effort from him.

I thought the draw was a good decision however, I believe both guys need to retire in fact hurd has no fire in his ass at all, which is required at the next level. Hurd fights like he sparring and his family need to convince him to do something else, Really!

Valle has a true world-class jab and I like what I see in the two fights I've seen him in. Funny, if that dude walked into an all-white bar, no one would think he was not Caucasian, lol
