Comments Thread For: Murodjon Akhmadaliev turning up the legal heat on Naoya Inoue

Former two-belt champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev's legal team is positioning for a battle as an October 29 IBF purse-bid process looms over the next fight for Japan's undisputed super-bantamweight and four-division champion, Naoya Inoue.

This is why I hate mandatories in this 4 belt era. You have the IBF and the WBA forcing a mandatory fight at the same time.

...I'm officially gonna say eff Goodman if he's whining about the payment and not agreeing.

"Send Akhmadaliev the offer that was sent to Goodman, and we will make every effort to accept as is."

Sure, if you aren't also gonna b!tch about the price like Goodman then it is December 24th in Tokyo, likely Ariake Arena. I'll be lined up for the ticket lottery.
Fight MJ on December, Nakatani on April (instead of him wasting another voluntary fight) next year, then go to feather next summer. Goodman can happily fight for the vacated belt, then get knocked out by Nakatani on 2026.

I'm more getting pissed at Goodman at this point that now I'd rather just give the exact same contract offer to MJ and do him on Christmas Eve and go straight to Nakatani next spring then feather after that.

Sorry Arum, Vegas is gonna have to wait.

I personally don't understand this , Goodman was mandatory prior to MJ.

when mj was a unified champion he had 2 wba mandatories (rios and azat) and ibf mandatory tapales. wba sanctioned an eliminator thinking that a mandatory fight is certain to happen but it didn't at that time. then mj defated rios and lost to tapales. that left azat as wba mandatory and nery as wbc #1. since azat wasted a lot of time already, he accepted a fight with nery (which was also s*-t*-u*-p-*i-*d-*l-*y sanctioned as wbc final eliminator). basically wba #1 and wbc #1 fought and nery won.

similarly, aleem was wbo #1 but accepted ibf's eliminator with goodman. since then goodman is ibf and wbo #1. instead of calling it like it is (2 double mandatories), wba ordered another eliminator (mj - kevin gonzales) because of more sanctioning fees.

the order should have been nery then goodman then whoever. it turns out goodman is a d*-u*-m*-b*-a*-s*-s. first he took irrelevant and damaging fight this summer instead of inoue in september and now he didn't accept their offer. the only reason i want inoue to fight these mandatories and keep all 4 belts is because junto deserves a shot at undisputed. you know what? if i was inoue, i would offer junto a shot this december right now. only 9 week camp but they are both sharp now.

having said that, mj can fight for his shot/position. i understand him. wasting an exception on doheny was horrible. BUT i expect sanctioning bodies to be strict with everybody and they are not.

Also they ain't getting any Step-A-Side money because Inoue is WBA Super champion and WBA don't want their belt with a no name like MJ.
How do you know the rotation order of mandatories for undisputed/unified champions? This is always so unclear and confusing.. Seems like the person that shouts the loudest gets pushed ahead in the queue..

it's easy to know if you follow every mandatory title fight and every eliminator in all 17 divisions which all the fans should do.

If you didn't follow them, as you should for the divisions you follow, you can also look at the order that the titles have been defended. In this case, IBF has precedence, so MJ is just barking into the air. I have no respect for Goodman after the stunts he's pulled, but MJ doesn't have a leg to stand on.
