    Ears

During sparring yesterday I got hit with an overhand right which landed on my ear causing an explosive sound. Now, the ear doesn't hurt unless I touch it in some specific places, and I can hear everything fine. Has this happened to anyone else before? Should I see a doctor?

My friend, you have a punctured ear drum. See a doctor and try not to breathe too deep. You will get a whistling sound in your ear that can be very painful.

when i got KOd in my 1 kickboxing fight, i'm wondering if it was an eardrum thing. I didn't get up because the sound was intense. like sticking my head in a speaker and it wouldn't stop... for like a good 5 or 10 min. i lost my equilibrium yeah, but it was the sound that scared the crap out of me and kept me from wanting to try to get back up.

i got a hearing test for my current job and apparently i've lost some hearing in that ear at certain ranges too.

Well if there is no pain other than to the touch and there was no bleeding from WITHIN the ear canal, could it still be a busted eardrum? I think it's more of just cartilage damage to the ear, which, with repeated blows to it, would eventually lead to the cauliflower ears that most fighters and almost every extreme fighter has.
But if you have pain WITHIN the ear, it could be a busted eardrum or something else. I wouldnt mess around with it and see a doctor.

I once had something kind of like that and it was really weird it was like I couldnt hear out of the one ear because it was being blocked by an ocean sound.

Broken ear drums are a common side-effect of punches to the ear in boxing.

well it didn't bleed, and the sound lasted only a few seconds, also I tried to breathe in as deep as I could and felt no pain. I doubt it's anything serious, if it isn't better by tommorow I'll see a doctor.
