      Erm

firstly if youre doing this for boxing, then join a boxing gym if you havent alredy done so, you will learn to block body shots and cusion them move around and also get stronger stomach with training and your sits ups.
try to do your sit ups with high intensity and proper form like not just swining up and down, just use your stomach muscles only go slow and realy feel your stomach hurting after using the muscle that will get you hard abs.

          ?

some people have other people hit their stomach while tensing just as the blow hits them this could help but i dot know how use full it is. you could also try to tense and the shot hit your body. the only other way to realy get strong abs is to work them hard, sit ups crunches. find some execises on the net or somting or go to they have lots of articles

Have you tried doing situps with somebody standing on your stomach?

It hels teach you to breathe with your stomach flexed, eventually you will be used to having a constantly flexed stomach while fighting, maybe even all the time.

Beware, flexing your stomach wrecks your posture in everyday life, so try not to do it everywhere, or youll end up looking like Igor.

How heavy of a person stands on you? Seems like it would be painful

Bodyshots will always hurt, no matter how strong your stomach muscles are. Strong abs will keep you from getting injured by bodyshots, but with a clean, heavy hook to the body, strong abs only mean the difference between getting dropped, and getting dropped and then pissing blood the next morning. Work your obliques -- side crunches, twisting crunches, weighted side bends, & side knee lifts on the chinup bar. This will help. Other than that, learn how to deliver a deadly body shot and make sure you land it before your opponent does.

Edit: This may apply more to light heavyweights and above, than to the lower weight classes. On recollection, I haven't seen many smaller fighters get dropped with bodyshots. But above middleweight, a clean, heavy bodyshot can be the deciding blow in a fight, if not the fight-ender itself. Whatever your weight class, work on your abs and your mental toughness, and learn how to throw hard to the body. Body punches suck, so it's better to give than to receive.
