There's a big difference when the heavier guy has skill in fighting. I totally wooped some dude that 190 but I was 140 and I was ****in out shots harder than him and he couldn't even touch me.
And no **** about the better, heavier fighter.

OP sounds like he has the quitters attitude. Im not saying its true, but thats what it sounds like to me.
Secondly yea he probably is better than me. I'm just sayign that i got the **** beat outa me and its advisible to think b4 hopping into a ring with someone who has a HUGE weighet advantage and height advantage. Combanition of both is very hard to overcome.
Just his jabs felt like fkin hammers!!!!! I'd go back 3-4 steps even when i would cant it on the hsoulder!!!!!!

personally i believe sparring guys heavyier and taller than you teaches you more about boxing than sparring someone your own size.
Not only does he have a bigger punch but he also has reach, you must learn to adapt: moving fast, being quick, tightening your guard, slipping punches, working the inside and outside, being first. All of my sparring partners have atleast 30 lbs on me, im 133 lbs and my biggest sparring partner is 220 while my main sparring partner is 173.
I just recently had an ehibition and i completely whiped the floor with my opponent, his amatuer record is 40-5-1 and i have yet to have a fight. Anyway he was far more skilled than me and is regarded as having very heavy hands. I did not feel it, he came in fast but i moved faster, hit harder and took his punches like they were nothing. For a man that supposably has heavy hands i did not feel it becuase i have already felt power far greater, i have already faced counter punching skills greater than his forcing me to adopt a style that is both technical and furocious. I move in with the intentions to turn it into a brawl and box with the effectiveness that i need to.
Moral of the story, Bigger sparring partners = a better you

At 147 lbs I fought someone at 220 and I got hit and went on with my business.
****ing kids always making excuses and complaining. If dude was a better fighter and had height and weight on his side, then the kid was just ****** for sparring with him.
Yeah there's few people who can not out people a lot heavier than them; Jack Dempsey is a prime example.
But of course they play a factor...damn

Don't view the beating as a negative, you have to look at what you learnt from it, think about how you might approach the spar differently next time.
Having such a big size difference does make a difference. I used to spar with an international Welterweight Am. Despite the fact that he could hit me at will he still respected my power as a Super Heavyweight novice.

The weight and height didnt have **** to do with it. He was just better than you.
Anyway, I'm a firm believer that you should stick to fighting people around your weight class. I don't see the advantage of a lightweight sparring a heavy weight you're getting limited experience and risk hurting yourself.

This kid fought someone who had more skills than him, but his height and weight are cited as the only reason he won, not the fact that the guy was just BETTER BOXER
To the OP, dont get discouraged about it. But be real with yourself and dont make excuse, they get you nowhere. Good luck.

The guy doesnt claim to be better than his opponent, he was clearly stating the fact that he sparred a guy that was a lot heavier and he got his ass beat.
