I got the YLOD, PS3 is dead :'(

Just now, playing the Uncharted 2 Beta it died on me. Oh man, a month away from the uncharted 2 release. This is BS, my xbox has red ringed on me twice and now this and its well ventilated too!

Gonna have to call customer services.

I just moved to england, im not under warrenty anymore as its a launch ps3 so its ?25 thats like $200.

I don't get to keep any saves, they don't repair it they just send me a new one with a 3 month warranty on that this is BS.

damn... i have a launch day ps3 still, got it 11/17/06 the original 60 gigger and it still works strong... only issue is i can't read anything on the XMB, the words are skewed... hard to explain, but anyway, i could have had it fixed for the price but instead bought another one for "my" room (the one the wifey stays out of ) with a deal from sony style... signing up for a credit card i got a $150 rebate on a 399 one... so instead of fully fixing the mostly functional ps3 i got an additional one for only 100 more!

the saves thing is pretty ****ty, but i'll be honest, some games wont let you transfer the saves anyway... due to people downloading game saves off the web.... i know motorstorm: pacific rift did this, had to start all over again!

not sure if there's any great deals on the new slim but its cheaper, for what its worth!
