I checked my Shopto and Amazon purchase history and i've spent ?,478 in the last 2 years on games alone.
You can always buy used, or new after a few weeks, games drop in value ridiculously fast. Good news is the big boys are moving towards the steam model which would make things a lot cheaper.
I buy used console games on ebay and sell them for the same price when i'm done. It's better than gamefly.
and I have Playstation plus which gives me 3 free games every week.
I ******* all my PC games, and I have emulators on my PC/Phone/PS Vita games. I even got this custom mod that I can run Halo 4 on my Lumia 1520, which has 3 times the power of an Xbox 360
I spend $60 on very few titles. I have my set series that I buy on launch day, every other game I wait until they're like $30.
BTW it's true that games drop in value very fast but if you are the collector type and keep a good game sealed in its plastic, you will see its price double, and triple, and quadruple for generations to come. Especially if you buy limited edition versions. I wish I had such self control.
i modded my xbox the day i bought it, a 50 dollars invetment that has saved me hundreds of dollars
u do have to pay 4$ for every verbatim disk to burn your games, and the last games have been a pain to burn, because sometimes the *******s are messed up and you end up wasting a verbatim disk and have to wait another 4 hours while you download a better *******.
its cool cuz if you dont like a game no big deal just try another one, i recently burned gta 5 and didnt like it, if i paid 60 for it i probably woulda forced myself to finish or something.
some games are very hard to burn for some reason ive yet to find a good burn of gears 3 and i spent like 4 disks trying to burn bioshock infinite
