I've been messing around with the Dragon Age Keep they're using for importing decisions from previous games. Quite a bit of variation to it, and some decisions I wouldn't have expected them to ask about. I hope even half of those decisions in previous games have an actual impact in Inquisition.

I replayed 1 and 2 just to have a save file because my original saves were on a laptop I threw away. Took me about 200 hours lol

At every press conference they've held, one of the key points they always reiterated was how much they wanted your decisions to impact the world.

You won't be able to import those saves, unfortunately. Go to dragonagekeep.com, you should already have an Origin account if you have the first 2 games. From there you can set up the world state based on what you did in the first 2 games that will import into Inquisition. It's actually half decent, lets you set up multiple world states and it has a lot of things you decide on.

          Wow lol

          Thanks for the heads up

This game is probably going to end up consuming my life for the next month.

I would of been sooo ready if Dragon Age 2 didn't suck. I've been skeptical with Bioware since teaming up with EA.

I actually put off playing DA2 until last year because of the bad press but I loved it. I thought the companions were going to be poor because people like Morrigan, Sten were so interesting first time round but Isabela, Merril, Varric and Fenris were actually quite interesting.

The big thing was they reused lots of environments which ****** but the combat was better in DA2 (I switched to attack automatically so I didn't have to press buttons to attack so I could control the entire party). Also the decision to not let you customise armour and weapons for your party was a bad one but these were minor blights on what I thought was a great game. Also disappointed not many of the wardens decisions affected DA2 but it seems that everything will show up in DA3 after importing my saves into DA: Keep.

I tend to play bioware games for the character interactions and immersive worlds anyway rather than the combat but I actually ended up really liking DA2. Picking DA3 day 1 ps4.

I loved DA2 too, I didn't think it was a bad game in any form. It wasn't as epic or as deep was DAO was, but it was still a great game.

I loved the rags to riches angle, how you start off from nothing and eventually become the Champion of Kirkwall. I really felt a connection to the city. Also I enjoyed the combat. I played both on nightmare difficulty and they were both challenging. DAO much moreso but DA2 on nightmare definitely wasn't a walk in the park either.

I can't play an RPG unless it's on the highest difficulty setting. Otherwise, what's the point of gearing up, what's the point of mastering the combat and learning all the little nuances.. What's the point of mastering the game unless every little thing you learn helps you to survive.

That's what ****** me into DAO lol, because it was so ****ing hard. I had to micro-manage every single detail to survive. You had to master positioning, crowd control, area of effect, healing, threat generation, and when I actually did start winning it was so ****ing rewarding, and I just wanted more challenges. As it gets harder, every new piece of gear you acquire or every new ability you learn is so satisfying, I can't describe it.

Every Bioware game I have ever played was spectacular.

DA2's only real problem was time. Development was rushed and they couldn't fully deliver. That's why the ended up reusing so many environments. You can see it in the ending, too.

The concept was cool, Kirkwall was interesting, BioWare always does companions interestingly, it just didn't deliver quite like it should have because they didn't have time to finish the way they probably hoped.

I tend to do the highest difficulty second time round for pretty much every game because its tends to affect the way I enjoy games. For example, in DA2 I kept Varric, Isabela and Anders in my party (I played as a warrior but tended to be high damage not a warrior/tank) because these were the characters that tended to have the most interesting actions to what quests I was doing (especially Justice/Anders angle) In my opinion. That combination clearly isn't the most effective for combat and I would have struggled on a higher difficulty but it was the most interesting.

The second time round on nightmare I went with Warrior again, Aveline as a defensive tank, Anders as a healer and Varric for range (sometimes went with Merrill) because it felt like the best party.

In DA origins, Shale, Morrigan, Sten were the most interesting to me (Sten too) so I had mostly those 3 in my party but on nightmare it was much easier playing Wynne, Leliana and Sten/Alistair.
