During my rotations I was working at a school district.

One of the students couldn't write. Rather than the teacher help that student learn to write, she gave him a tablet and said just type out what you want

I understand that typing is what the majority will be, but dam this teacher didn't even bother to teach this kid how to write, just gave him a device and said there you go.

So I wonder how Larry and company would feel that someone would tell them that since they are too ****** to pass, they need to lower the bar for them.

Graduating high school used to be an accomplishment. In my family my grandma has about 20 grandkids and it wasn't till the 5th grandson who finally graduated high school. Graduating high school was something that someone had to work for. Today, kids just show up and get a diploma.

Colleges are handing out diplomas too devaluing that as well.

This will just mean employers who see "Oregon high school diploma" in a resume will reject that candidate without an interview.

What's worse is that even if this law is reversed she's already damaged the reputation of an Oregon diploma and it will forever be associated with illiteracy. Dumb broad.
