Has anyone received their stimulus check?

I'm trying to understand how this works? I heard the government will be using the account you have on file from last year's return. I've also heard reports of people receiving payment.

    Has anyone received payment yet?

I plan on using my check to invest in the stock market.

    What are your picks?

Wednesday is when most should get it if they did online direct deposit.

If you are doing old school traditional paper checks it could be as late as September.

You think military personnel are going to get a check?

Yeah, I think so. The purpose of it is to encourage spending. People, military included, are hoarding every penny.

              Have you heard differently?

I've heard some say yess and some no. I'd lean more on the no side as it's money to help during a time when people aren't working and won't be paid due to that. We get paid whether we work or not so we aren't facing the same hardships as civilians. I'm on Rapids and haven't been to work in 2 weeks because they need me to deploy and can't afford for me to get sick and have to spin someone else up. Still gettin paid though

Well, my understanding is the people that aren't working should get unemployment checks in addition to the stimulus checks.

Civilian GS's are also on salary as are managers at McDonald's. Does this mean they don't get checks if they're working?

I thought if you met the annual threshold regardless of salary or hourly wages, you were eligible?

What is the threshold? I'd have to look into the GS thing as I'm not sure how it's going to work for government employees. I should actually ask my wife as she has a GS position but is actually still working now, mostly teleworking from home though

Edit: From what I just read it doesn't exclude military personnel or government employees. This is the list:
                    Here's who won't get a stimulus check:

Children who are 17 or 18 years old.
Many college students between the ages of 19 to 23.
Adults who can be claimed as dependents.
Nonresident aliens (in other words, those without a green card).
                    Estates.
Individuals who earn more than $99,000 or married couples earning more than $198,000.
People who haven't filed 2018 and 2019 tax returns.
