I live in a small town and the places I order from are literally less than a 5-minute walk.

I do not see the point in getting food delivered to my door. I can order it, take my dog a walk and pick it up after 15 minutes.

I often tip 20% to servers and food delivery guys.. i do cringe at doordash when i have food delivered to my house cuz i pay delivery fee, "maintenance" fee and 20% tip for the delivery guy..

I dont go cheap at delivery guys or servers.. these people make very little.. well compare to what i make at least..

It would be the epitome of laziness if I had food delivered to my house, from the Chinese or Kebab shop 5 minutes away lol

Same. They deserve more for being cool and leaving it at the door so no words have to be exchanged

Tipping seems to be much more common in the US than the UK...... I think the US tips more than where I am from.

10% is normal here, a few pound in the jar next to the till or on the tray with your bill. If everyone does that the waiters get a good amount at the end of the day.

People in Japan dont tip, its included in the bill.
If you Try to tip a delivery person, they wont understand and wont take it.
