Same guy who wore a mask for the cameras with no one anyone near him while throwing out the first pitch but was later photographed without the mask sitting in his seat between two spectators. Dr. Falsi needs to get his story straight.

Gigantes knows more about infectious diseases than Dr. Fauci.

Wear goggles, a gas mask & full hazmat suit if you're a responsible citizen

While mobs of half naked people beat each other with street cones in memory of an overdosed methhead & the same politicians/tv stations stylishly applaud

Sounds good to me. The ultra concerned should gear up. That should take a little pressure off of everyone else.

I don't think it's a matter of knowing about infectious diseases. At that level, it's politics & he's overwhelmed.

Initially he relied on information from WHO, which was later revealed to be getting all of its information from Chinese propagandists.

Even Bill Maher is pointing out that Fauci is basically a campaign piece at this point & adjusts his COVID-19 positions on-the-fly to tell people whatever they want to hear.

                Some Fauci quotes:

"Coronavirus is not a major threat for the people in the United States and this is not something the citizens should be worried about"
                Jan 21

"The American people should not be worried or frightened by coronavirus. This is a very, very low risk to the United States."
                Jan 26

A few weeks back he was asked iif he thought the mass riots and violence going on were spreading covid-19. He said yes, which was against the wishes of his political handlers, and he took a "break" from the media for a few days. Returned mute on the topic.

While Trump was calling for a travel ban, Fauci was still doubting whether the virus was even contagious between humans or whether masks were necessary. He told people not to cancel their cruise ship arrangements. A month later he was on TV criticizing Trump's "slow response".

Sure it can be political but can also be learning and adapting as more information comes to light, so recommendations can change based on new information that we didn't know in January or even a few weeks ago.
I just think it's odd to call him a fraud when he is respected around the world for his 50 years of work in the field. That doesn't mean he will always be right. It's really his best educated guess.
