    skip skip and more skipping

is skipping a good way to lose the gut
because i need to practise my skipping so i was thinking instead of running would skipping be ok to lose weight and gain stamina

You should skip as well as running, skipping will increase your stamina and footwork whereas running only does one.

I'd stop being lazy and run and skip. Bet you can't keep your skipping up for as long as your run.

Well it depends if your actually competing or just want to keep in shape, if your competing I would highly advise doing both but if not you would get away with just doing skipping, you should still go on a run at LEAST 2 times a week though. Hope this has helped.

I've just finished school aswell, same age lol. Yh that is alright because you will have the whole day to rest, and when you get in from your run be sure to take things that will speed up your recovery time, for example milk, cheese or whey protein etc.

                    Alright kids...

Basically you need to decide something... How important is this to me? If you are fighting you should probably swing your decision to the highly important side cause brain damage is on the cards.

For most people boxing is a hobby, they might have a few fights, they might even win a few. They prob train a few days a week, spend more time on this forum than actually training, and all their weekends at the pub or getting stoned talking about how they sparred real good last month.

Some people have better genes, others have money, others have lots of mates to practise beating up... but put all this aside, if you want to box and keep boxing, you need to realise it is a lifestyle, not a hobby.

Your ego can't get in the way, and you'll need to endure many challenging and heart breaking moments when you aren't the best person in the room. You will get up early, and you will run, and if it's raining or snowing you'll go anyway. You'll loose friends but keep the best ones, and you'll prob be the end of everyone's jokes. But you'll keep going back the next day, because it means something to you, even if others don't see it.

Work, school, freinds and family won't get in the way if you think creatively and realise where your priorities lie.
