  • Hi Crutchman, totally agree. Left Hook Louie once cited me, quite correctly, & said don’t make political statements on a boxing site. I try not to, but I can find myself getting dragged in. I thought you made your points very constructively & intelligently but, yeah, we’ve moved...

  • Fisher hasn’t got nowhere to go. If he really loves boxing he could switch to amateur. If he carries on in professional boxing man will get mash up. Dave Allen has shown him, quite brutally, why there are levels in boxing

  • I’d sorta dial down because the more you know about the transatlantic slave trade, it isn’t something to light-heartedly josh about. I’ve been to Yad Vashem, that is, I’m not exaggerating, a life-changing experience & you come out changed, possibly in a bad way because the...

  • 'And Mozart was German lol. Literally the thing the Brits are most famous for is losing the American Revolution’

I‘d like to think, old chap, that we’re most renowned for our literature & for gifting the world football & cricket & the fact that we can no longer be...

  • Well, if he stepping up to 147 he isn’t going to win a title, is he? Being serious, if you throw him in with Jaron, what do you think will happen?...

  • 'And I have done a fair amount of travel. I've found the French and Israelis the most obnoxious’
yeah, likewise. They travel in large groups & don’t engage with anyone else. I can understand with Israelis how they feel nervous. The French, I can’t see what they hope they’re...

There is no high art or much of a literary tradition (with some exceptions) to speak of. The main national food symbol is a cheeseburger. One of their most popular...

  • Contrary to the commentary, Fisher didn’t have a good, or even a remotely adequate, jab. Waving your left hand at your opponent isn’t a jab. A good boxer does everything off a jab delivered with snap from the shoulder. It isn’t just, or even mainly, about scoring points. A good jab...

  • I watched the commentary. I laughed when they said ‘great jab from Fisher’, Fisher’s left hand jab was the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen. if you just wave your left hand in the air that don’t make it one jab MoFo. Literally, Fisher didn’t throw & land one...

  • IDK where Yorkshire’s answer to Tex Cobb goes from here. Will they feed him to the beast? Moses Itauma would, almost literally, kill the man. If I was managing Allenn I wouldn’t let him near Itauma....

  • I’m not always in agreement with Boro, but I kinda do sympathise with some of his views.
I do know but I also know how increasingly feminine and emotional boys/men have got and how dangerous that is.
I’ve got 2 sons. Men are under terrible pressure to be more warm, more emotional,...

  • Hamza Sheeraz seems to have everything. He has height and reach on everyone and he has sound skills and some power, but, as we saw with Adames, he’s a bit slow and one dimensional in his attacks. Not convinced but I think he has more in all respects than Berlannga who’s making a career out...

  • My all time favourite line on a forum ‘Run DMC never used that N word’ , reply ‘OMG, what did they say instead?’. They didn’t need to use the one word for they had a lot to say about a lot of stuff

  • I hate the word and no-one should use it. I think if you look across the whole American continents, there has been mixing everywhere except in parts of the Deep South where it was literally outlawed. So, in truth, most Hispanic people have some African blood. That doesn’t mean it’s ok for...

  • It is possible that Allen has weighed in deliberately heavy to lull Fisher into a sense of false security, but that doesn’t seem likely.

  • Agree with StB, power doesn’t come from weight, it comes from speed, leverage and timing and Allen doesn’t have any of those things. Come round 6 he is going to wish he trained harder. It is a cliche because it is true, you train hard to make the fight easy.
