Toney showed some toughness in that fight to withstand such a savage beating. (Could have been steroids)
But he got exposed and so did his "defensive" boxing style.

Tiberi was boring (as *****) . . . it was better for the game, for Toney to keep the title and let Tiberi sue and retire.
Who were we hoping to see Tiberi defend against, McCallum; Jones?
Toney should have been fined for his end of the purse; no point in doing something silly like making Dave Tiberi MW Champion.

Toney could have rematched him like he did Sanderline Williams or all the other rematches he had in his career.
Tiberi won the fight plain as day.

Despite the draw, 99% of boxing people thought Toney absolutely deserved the decision vs McCallum in the first fight and despite the decision, 99% of boxing people thought Tiberi absolutely deserved the decision vs Toney but somehow your pea sized brain thinks Toney/McCallum was a worse robbery when it wasn't even a robbery. Idiot

and HOW did Tiberi not win this fight? It wasn't even close?!
439 punches to 160? And yes, I know punch stats aren't the best indication of the deserved winner, but for this fight it goes hand in hand with how obvious the outcome was. . .
Toney won some key fights via narrow margin. This wasn't one of them. Tiberi clearly won it, he took the fight to James Toney, out punching and out working him.
Punch Stats when there is a wide disparity and no knockdowns are often better than the judges.

Plenty of people had it for McCallum, plenty had for a Toney.
I had it a draw.

That's not winning 8 rounds and losing/drawing. That's scoring a stoppage or DQ win on three different occasions and losing the fight.
