i agree totally he may not have had the longevity to be considered a atg and everyone defines that status differently but you cannot deny the mans talent

Good thread....Seriously can I say both? The guy had the goods, and had the rare capacity to carry real power in that division, then he blew up when he fought Barrera who was a talented pressure fighter.

I have to say: when I look at Naseem I often reflect that Mayweather got off fighting one real serious pressure fighter in Castillo, did not do so well the first go (I seem to remember thinking he lost that fight) and never really fought a guy like Barrera...a true blue pressure guy who can box, near prime capacity...One wonders if he would have been given the Naseem treatment. Naseem seemed to be, at the time of his greatness to be on the level of a Floyd, Camacho, etc...and then he wasn't!!
