In that grade a fighter thread a lot of people gave him a A+ and he's showing that he's ranked 7th on that list. But why did so many people give him an A+ when he got completely shut out by Mayweather? he had no answer and even got knocked down.

I graded him at A.
A + fighters have the ability separate themselves from the pack at some points in their careers. Marquez never ever shown that ability, like you said? He was dominated by Mayweather and was bashed about quite a bit in his career.
A + is a combination of great career wins, and overall ability.

Was Marquez first fight above 135. He could be undefeated in 4 fights against Pacquao, his resume speaks for itself and he never ran from a fight. Hell, his super old ass almost won a WW strap off Bradley many years later.
