    Why Wasn't GGG........

........EVER pressured to move up ?

I mean, going beyond the whole Ward thing.

    Why ?

There are tons of Nelo is ''ducking'' X SMW+
Has there ever been a thread criticizing GGG for not moving up ?

GGG had a very long amateur career and didn't turn pro until he was 24. He's a natural middleweight and had a long and successful title reign there.

It's a lot easier to move up in weight when you turn pro at 15 like Canelo did. At the age GGG turned pro, Canelo already had 46 pro fights.

the better question is why do people obsess so much about whether or not a guy moves up?

Is it better to dominate a division, or pull a Broner and go through several divisions finding the softest touch or a vacant title to grab?

If a guy can make the weight and wants to stay put, who cares? Do you hold Hagler in low esteem because he never moved up?

        Sigh.....A GGG sympathizer

Spending 20 years as an amateur is who's fault ?

Nelo got right down to business
Fck messing with the little league

If a MFer isn't going to criticize the so called baddest guy south of HW, that hypocrite should zip it if someone else goes first.

If Nelo fights every bum NORTH OF MW, it's more than GGG was willing to do.

I say IF a ''fight'' fan is going to be critical, BE CONSISTANT. Don't let your pantys show.

IMHO, a guy doesn't have to do anything or go anywhere.
If that MFer is going to make noise, he should go first.
SMW+ are crying about a smaller guy moving up and fighting them ?
Why don't THEY move up and fight someone bigger ?

Dominating a dead div is useless to most neutral fight fans.

GGG whooped Canelo's ass twice already. That's all that needs to be said about any comparisons between them until the third fight (which I expect Canelo to win, because he's still improving while GGG is 40).

1st fight close. Wouldn't have been mad if GGG got the W. FAR FROM A WHOOPING so I can't take your opinion as being neutral. You have a clear bias !

The rematch was all Nelo. I don't care about polls. Nelo reduced GGG to a jabbing, headhunting, 1 punch at a time MFer.

Both guys are pale AF.....MORE SO Palenelo -

                So

It's safe to say, according to GGG sympathizers, Nelo doesn't HAVE to fight anyone above MW

                But he does !

Canelo was 23 when he was at 154, 27 when he was at 160, 29 when he dipped at 175. Why couldn’t G move up at least once?

GGG tried and failed to unify 160. Unlike Canelo, who is a massive cash cow, GGG often couldn't land unification fights. Canelo himself dropped a belt to duck 35 year old GGG the first time around. Sturm ducked Golovkin to fight Geale, then Daniel Geale dropped his WBA belt to avoid GGG and fight Anthony Mundine the first time around. It wasn't until 2015 that Golovkin actually became a big enough name to get some good fights.

Canelo = very high risk, but highest possible reward
GGG = very high risk, low reward for most of his career
