Which 168-175 lbs fighter could give Prime Roy Jones problems?

Which 168-175 lbs fighter could give Prime Roy Jones problems?

Both retired & active 168 & 175 lbs fighters like: Andre Ward, James Toney, Joe Calzaghe, Bernard Hopkins, Carl Froch, Canelo Alvarez, David Benavidez, Dmitry Bivol, Artur Beterbiev et al.

Well, he beat both of them so no.

Not quite sure why Toney's on the list since he totally embarrassed him in the ring.

        He beats everyone you listed.

There's LHW's who could give him an issue; Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Micheal Spinks, Harold Johnson, amongst others definitely hold some stylistic problems for him.

Someone like Bob Foster could catch him and knock him out with one shot that lands on the button, but Roy Jones is totally superior to Bob Foster.

But realistically, in my opinion, Roy Jones beats them all.

This. James Toney alone could beat most of them.

            That's a different story.

I wouldn't be confident picking Toney to beat any of the names you listed other than Benavidez.

But Roy Jones and James Toney are entirely different levels of fighters in comparison to each other, different stratosphere.

Ward would have been interesting if he could get out of the early rounds.

Ring IQ on a totally different level and the kind of brain that might be able to figure out a game plan vs Jones.

Other than that, well there's a number of big punchers who would have had a decent punchers chance.

I'm not a beliver that Jones was totally finished post Ruiz win

Tarver had a good style against Jones, was super motivated and ko him with a sick counter right on the button, punching with Jones.

That's not something just anyone could do, Tarver doesn't get enough credit for that shot, it was a perfect punch.

After that Jones aura of invincibility was gone and that was more of a problem than any weight related chin issues.

I don't give anyone a shot against Ripped Fuel Prime non tested Roy Jones.

Montell Griffin exposed him in the first fight with his short reach and smart pressure on the ropes.

At 168, Canelo maybe has a slim chance. Pressure counter puncher with slick defense. Calzaghe's high work rate and high output would be problem for any Roy. Ward's dirty style is also problematic for him. Jones beats others with ease at 168.

At 175, Beterbiev could KO him badly. Jones' two pathetic losses against Tarver and Johnson were at 175. Beterbiev is better puncher than both. Kovalev, Bivol and Gvozdyk could have some success. But, they are too robotic for Roy.

Ward and Beterbiev would have been good fights.
