    Bootsy vs Cornwell

According to reports, Email Ennis and his team have made an offer to Cornwell for a fight at 154.

Why wouldnt they hit up madrimov for the December fight? Bootsy makes no sense. He claims he wants Bud yet does this?

I think this is a situation where MR doesn't want to cannibalize their stable. There are match-ups to be made with other promoters. Ennis/Conwell is a good match-up between two high-risk/low reward fighters, and it means MR and GBP working together....which is a good thing. We need to let Crawford/Ennis go.

I done let Bud vs Bootsy pass after the 2nd time Bootsy could've made the fight. All I'm sayin is the Email Ennis fanboys been bumpin their gums about Bud/Bootsy and once again Bootsy goes a different way. Now he's in a corner and either rematches Karen or fights the under the radar Cornwell, when he could've fought Madrimov and had he beat him in style, Bootsy/Bud would've been back in the convo

Doubt Madrimov/his team would've accepted anyway. I'm sure they're going to want to get another W and build him back up. He didn't take horrible damage but I can't imagine Madrimov going from Crawford to Boots in succession, especially if the money isn't intriguing enough. Obviously Boots' team should send an offer and find out but yeah I don't see it happening that fast.

Boots doesn't have anything to lure basically anyone into the ring with at 154 , he's not a big money fight , doesn't hold a belt at 154 , and will probably beat you . He's on the outside looking in. Him and his promoter should have come up with the funds to make the Norman fight. Norman is tough though , who knows , maybe they didn't really want that fight all that much.

Madrimov would fight him, especially with since he didn't take a ton of damage vs Bud, and he's on the undercard of Usyk/Fury.....big card, lots of viewers

Maybe it's time to stop tethering Ennis and Crawford together. For the record, I want Ennis to move up not to chase Crawford, but because 147 is spoiled and complacent. There's no reason to stay for Chukhadzhian if he's not going to get the unifications afterwards. Norman and Stanionis are good, but they aren't worth the hassle. Conwell is an interesting opponent for Ennis to make his 154lb debut, stylistically and politically. Conwell is a bruiser, which means Ennis will have to tighten up or he might find himself in trouble. The winner gets closer to facing Vergil Ortiz. My fantasy is to have Ennis/Ortiz and Shakur/Zepeda on the same card in a GBP/MR 5vs5 event.

I think MR needs to be a bit careful with how they match Madrimov. He doesn't have much marquee value and he has very few pro fights. Get him a decent stay-busy opponent in December, and then a bigger fight afterwards.

What a car crash of a career, but stopping Conwell at 154 would certainly get some attention, and vice versa for Conwell.

Probably the best Boots is going to get right now outside of a Chukhadzhian rematch at 147 that no one wants to see, and I actually like Karen.

There's only one Bootsy, Baba, and that's Bootsy Collins of Parliament Funkadelic & Bootsy's Rubber Band!
