There are definitely overrated guys like tank, Wilder broner etc...Haney clearly lost to Loma but he's still a good fighter. Loma lost to Lopez but he's still a good fighter. Lopez lost to kambosos but he's still a good fighter. Kambosos...is actually not good. It happens. People talk like innoue is overrated because he got dropped or lost a couple rounds to donaire. Pretty silly and that's why guys continue to fight weak comp. So they look better. I think fans prefer their favs blowing out bums sometimes. That way in fantasy projections they can claim stupi-d cra-p

Haneys return after his defeat showed he should be written off

Go and look at Pacquiao vs Rios ,thats how a real champion comes back from a devastating defeat

Agreed but a fighter's only as good as his LAST performance. For example, Sheeraz was getting hyped to the moon after 3 very impressive victories but we shouldn't hold it against him for daring to be great and failing.

u wouldnt write lebron off as being hopeless after 1 bad game but we sometimes only see these guys 1 or twice a year so it takes time for them to bounce back if fans are not happy
Great analogy plus boxing's an INDIVIDUAL sport unlike basketball and most other sports. Also, the legends of the past fought hundreds of times and finished with 20+ losses each but nobody bats an eyelid and it DOESN'T diminish their greatness.

Who needs enemies when you got fans like that.

Still it has to be stated that the casuals pay most of their bills so they can't go all out with that mindset either.
Good point...there are definitely SOME fighter's who deliberately avoid other fighter's and cherry-pick their way to an undefeated record. However, at the end of the day, MOST fighter's have had plenty of amateur + pro fighters so are pretty much willing to fight anybody if the money's right. Therefore, we shouldn't write off Haney for giving the fans what they wanted against Garcia or Sheeraz for daring to be great.

I swear most are happier gossiping about potential ducking than they are observing the fights

I knew there’s no hope for most when these geeks started itching about Turki who has done more good than harm

boxers being called bums because they didn’t win a fight is disturbing

Athletes in other sports don’t get treated this way despite being physically inferior to boxers

Joshua has some bad ko losses but LeBron would get killed by Joshua in a real battle
Yep...people tend to PROJECT their own insecurities and failures onto others who fail (or even succeed) because it makes them 'feel better' about themselves...PATHETIC! I believe that all humans are connected to one another and it's human nature to feel triggered/down when somebody else fails in whatever endeavour. However, common sense should prevail and we should look at a fighter's ENTIRE backstory before writing them after one bad loss/performance. After all, virtually ALL top fighter's suffered a few losses in the amateurs but it didn't prevent them from becoming world champions as pro's.

I think Haney's performance showed that he's HUMAN and not some indestructible monster. After all, Ramirez is a 2x world champion but he still won a shutout. Also, at least he had the BALLS to return to the ring unlike Spence who suffered a similar beatdown but is still scared to leave the house!

When you lose, the sharks will say I told you so he was overated? But there's nothing wrong with.losing, whilst it's generally accepted idea nobodies unbeatable. So the losing part is forgivable if you can comeback to convince people it was off night.
Then, you win titles in as many divisions, over 4 decades at an age others can't deliver. Then all is forgiven.
Unbeaten guys don't escape the microscope too, as people say why is he unbeaten, what advantages did you get? Or are you really unbeaten I swear I saw you in a fight where I thought you got gift.
