David’s loss was mainly due to inexperience (not taking anything away from Benny). He’s gonna look better after a few more quality match-ups.
As a Morrell fan I must admit , I was really disappointed with his performance against Benny
Not chitting on Benny but Morrell’s team should of had a better plan for that fight

I dunno, man. Not disagreeing with you, but it’s very easy to say this after the fact. I’ve seen some fights where I felt the game plan was clearly ill-advised, and should’ve been altered early on, but this one didn’t fit that category for me. Benavidez is a top fighter, with more pro experience — and at a higher level — than Morrell. Despite the Cuban’s pre-fight joke, he’s not a robot. Very often one fighter makes it difficult, if not impossible, for his opponent to pursue his plan. My opinion? I think the Mexican was just a little too much at this point in Morrell’s career. I thought so going in. But I’m very happy with the way my man acquitted himself, both during and after the fight. Very much looking forward to his next outing.

I just thought it was a one way strategy and no B plan whatsoever
I will agree he has been modest in defeat and fresh breath air of excuse hearing
Trying to say , the fact he was somewhat green going into this , there should of been alternate routes to get you the W
Maybe this was also a learning experience for his team

It’s also possible that Benny wins 9/10 times. There’s always that. I have experience in some areas that has shown me that sometimes you’re just shy of being on your opponent’s level. You’re very close, so it seems to everyone you’re about as good — and you are — but always fall just a bit short. When you’re at your max weight in the gym, it’s impossible to lift even one more pound. I’d love to see these guys run it back in another couple of years. Might be a different story.

Honestly , I think Morrell does everything better than Benny
Yes it needs fine tuning and not taking anything away from Benny
A different story is right imo

Haven’t seen as much of him. All I know is, he comes to fight and packs a punch.

Cubans overachievers in the best guys in the best division 147

                    Kid Gavilan
                    Jose Napoles

Osley is good and fades from the usual Cuban style
That is what makes him so good imo
He’s adapted very well to the pro ranks
