the first fight fell apart b/c OF TESTING.
you're gonna seriously sit up here and say there's nothing odd, about top rank now accepting the 14-day cutoff, that they declined the first time?
but they're accepting it, only AFTER, floyd has stated 2 MONTHS AGO, this time there'd be no cutoff....
nothing odd at all??????

Pac beat Clottey as expected, and Floyd beat Shane as expected. Heres the deal.....No matter who Floyd had fought (Paulie, Shane, Matthew Hatton<---heard his name tossed around at the time), it makes the best sense money wise.
Now you have the fans (and sadly the "fan boys"), who are willing to leave their wives to see this fight happen. Its getting that intense. It seems like a plot from the beginning. Give them a taste, then leave them wanting more.
What this does is now, makes 2x the money they wouldve made had they fought in March. March to me was never realistic. A fight this big, is not gonna just have a road to Vegas/Dallas promo with 1.5 weeks of promoting. 24/7 will rise to a whole new level as interest from people who could care less about the sport and are pro MMA.
This fight will get DONE. This just seems to me nothing more than a way to market this fight and get everyone all worked up. Heck i wouldnt be surprised if the PPV cost went up. It wouldnt matter because we are going to BUY IT. Bob Arum and GBP behind all this just makes it kinda hard to believe that this fight is on its last lifeline. Now the money is going to 3x over what would have been made in March. This whole drug testing is nothing more than to create sides and make people tune in, and have their passion for one fighter become stronger, while making hate for the other just as strong. It pleases the masses.
Floyd vs. Shane
Pac vs. Clottey
Build up both fighters reps a little more so they can build hype for the big one...
Cause really whats other BIG PAYDAYS do both fighters have after they fight each other... Unless the fight is close enough for a rematch their really isnt a HUGE PAYDAY after Pac and Floyd fight each other.. So why not make some money in between...

Please, Marquez lost that fight as soon as he signed that dotted line.. Anyone thinking Marquez had a chance was delusional.. But I dont blame JMM cause he got paid big on that fight..
