    Rigondeaux: Best Performance of 2013

I still can't figure out why guys like Rafeal, Iole, Steve Kim, Mulvaney and many others still enjoy bashing this undeniably great fighter. Aren't they purest of all boxing fans knowing true quality when they see it? Are they impatient? This sport is built upon longevity, ask Mayweather, Pacquiao and Hopkins.

Even Boxingscenes truest have spoken. Rigo has won the much acclaimed Fighter of the Year award with most votes and it has gone unseen by our "unbiased media".

His Donaire fight was a masterclass performance.

Best Performance is not the same as FOTY. This was a weak year insofar that a lot of the contenders had one very good win, and another just ok. Rigo had the best single win. Usually it takes 2+ very good wins, or lots of pretty good wins, which won it for Stevenson

The complete shutout of an ex-champ in Agbeko merits more credit.

There should have been a main stream category of best performance, don't you agree? We all know who would've taken that cake.

Agbeko looked faded vs Mares 2, went inactive, and never did anything at 122. So it's not a a very good win for sbw champ.

I don't disagree, but it's what it is. Some track it, some don't. It got Rigo in all the p4p lists, so it's not for nothing.

One of the cleanest most brilliant performances ever.

Each and every have exposed seemingly inconsistent comprehension over the years. Iole for example was under the delusion that Adrian Broner was actually a Mayweather type. I remember him specifically talking about how his "lateral movement" was going to give Maidana trouble and thinking WTF? when I read that.

Steve Kim is also a guy that has said various things over the years that have demonstrated to me he has no actual comprehension of what takes place in the ring. He's a guess-hitter like most. A terrible one at times.
