firstly, anyone giving someone a pass for beating a woman because of "skills" is hideous. You're going to argue that you're not one of those "peeps". I would argue that you are indeed one of them. Equating a woman beater with someone who self promotes and taunts opponents is tantamount to being accepting of the obviously worse acts being discussed.
You have condoned beating a woman, but being mildly disrespectful in an attempt to entertain, that's where you draw the line in the sand. That sort of thing is the point at which people deserve incurable disease...
