Is Kell Brook now an elite welterweight who can defeat the best?

Only Elites in the WW division are fighting on May 2nd. All the rest are contenders, with some in the crowd trying to skate their way to the top.

Enough said as well. Whether it be Manny or Floyd, they beat 99%, if not all, of the upcoming welterweight contenders at this time. And the most impressive thing is, they are on the side closer to 40 than to 30. The next wave after these two are gone will probably led by Brook and Thurman. Those two should fight to determine who will be the best of the next generation.

Thurman, Bradley, Brook, Khan need to have a mini-tourney to see who is best.
Right now, each only has 1 solid/good win against a top 10/or fringe top 10 welterweight

I think Mayweather has an easy night against him. Brook is just too orthodox for Mayweather, he wouldn't have much to figure out which is basically job done for Floyd.

I think Pacquiao would overwhelm him but Brook has good timing so he would have to land an absolutely perfect shot, but that can happen to anyone in he world. I'd have to say Pacquiao would just be too much for him.

I think he beats Khan. Khan is fast but fighters with good timing like Garcia and Diaz never had much problem figuring out his timing and handling his speed, i think Brook would figure it out too.

Thurman would be a good fight. I think it would be a very good test for Thurman, is Brook could catch him coming in with his good timing and power, it would ask a lot of questions about Thurman.

I think he can mix it with the likes of Maidana, Khan, Thurman, Bradley etc..and possibly beat them. I think Manny is probably a step too far and i think Mayweather has quite an easy night just because Brook is very orthodox, even if he is very effective.

He is definitely a solid welterweight name doe.

I am not impressed by Brook beating up a C level fighter and it sure doesn't make him an elite.

I don't know if he wins, but he's in his prime and ready to fight these versions of Floyd or Manny. I think Keith Thurman is in the same boat.

I wouldn't call him "elite". Good, yes.

He beat up a pretty average guy today. I'm not reading too much into it.

And it's cute that he'll be ringside for the Pac-May fight. There are at least 3 other guys that I think deserve it more than Brook would.

I think he can beat everyone at WW, with the exception of Pacquiao and Mayweather.

Truth is, I always knew he was highly skilled and this is going back years ago.
