Comments Thread For: Pavlik Arrested; Alleged Fight at Foo Fighters Concert

Kelly Pavlik was taken into police custody on Saturday after an alleged brawl at a Foo Fighters concert in Ohio, according to television station WKBN.

The report, citing anonymous sources, said Pavlik was “heavily intoxicated.” The former middleweight champion has been released on a summons to show up in court at a future date, the article said.

Online court records do not yet list anything for this alleged incident.

Last year, Pavlik pleaded guilty to a pair of charges dating back to 2013 — one was to a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, the other was to a count of disorderly conduct in a case stemming from Pavlik allegedly refusing to pay a taxi driver $25 home after a ride home from a bar. I sometimes wonder what Kelly Pavlik could have added to the landscape from middleweight to perhaps light heavyweight if his alcoholism and whatever else that is distracting him weren't in the way. But that is the way it goes. What more could have been with Aaron Pryor, Pernell Whitaker, and numerous other over the decades who were probably also sidetracked by alcohol or drugs or whatever.

Hopefully he'll gets his life together.....Pavlik was a beast back in 2007. The first fight against Taylor was his best performance.

Sad! 2008 is really not that long ago when he was the Best Middleweight in boxing after beating Jermaine Taylor Twice. He is only 33 years old, maybe a comeback and staying active could save his life

All the middleweights are so little now...not sure if he can still make 160 though

Him and Kirkland are the biggest wastes of talent I have ever seen!

Honestly, I don't even want to hear about Pavlik anymore. Every time he has a headline, it's because he's in some sort of trouble. He's not relevant to the boxing world anymore. I wish him the best, and I hope he can recover, but unless he announces a comeback, I don't want to hear about him.
