I like both, although for a bit I was a Canelo hater (mainly with his hoe antics during the Cotto/Mayweather fight), but now he's manned up and turned into a quality fighter.
I'm still Team Cotto all the way and I'll be rooting for both a highly entertaining, FOTY award winning fight. Cotto/Margarito should have been FOTY but Marquez and Vazquez waged war and took the throne in a year that PR/Mex rivalry should have gotten it.
With the way these two have looked their last three fights, it looks like FOTY might happen. They are both accurate, defensively sound and have enough intangibles to make it interesting. Cotto the hardened vet, still clinging on and Canelo the spirited young warrior, heir apparent to the Golden Boy -- something has to give, does Cotto have one last great performance, was Canelo's ceiling reached when he couldn't pound out a 36 year old Mayweather? I don't know, but I want to find out! I didn't believe for awhile that beating Canelo meant anything post Mayweather fight, but then he went and beat Trout, body snatched a win against Lara and mistreated Kirkland - now the win is worth something
I'll be rooting for Cotto but in no way do I think this will be an easy fight for him. And I could care less about the diva spoiled brat talk or the a-side b-side crap. I prefer the way fights were negotiated in the old days where the deal was worked out behind closed doors.
