WBA/WBO/IBF light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev is still being hounded with questions on a fight with Gennady Golovkin, the WBA/IBO middleweight champion.
The fight not realistic, says Kovalev. There is no reason for Golovkin to head up to light heavyweight when there are so many lucrative fights for him at middleweight and even at super middleweight.
The fight that is more realistic is a clash with super middleweight champion Andre Ward, who is considering a possible move to 175-pounds. Ward's last fight took place at 172 on June 20th when he stopped Paul Smith. The teams behind Ward and Kovalev have actually been in talks for a possible 2016 clash.
