I'll remain an optimist about the possibility of GGG/Ward. It's not going away anytime soon because people will be asking about it as long as both fighters are active.

Can these Golovkin-defenders really not see what's going on, or are they just playing dumb?

In your typical lazy and sloppy fashion, you posted four links to the same video. Not only that, these are links to the same video you posted before -- the one I
pulled the text from and asked you to point out where Loeffler says Ward needs to beat Kovalev to earn a fight with GGG. I'm still waiting...

Loeffler clearly says that IF Ward beats Kovalev and IF GGG beats Canelo, it becomes a huge megafight and a real possibility. That's placing the burden on both fighters. There's no implication that either fighter needs to earn it to face the other. Only in the twisted mind of a Golovkin hater like yourself would someone get "Ward needs to beat Kovalev to earn a fight with GGG."

The fact of the matter is the likelihood of a Ward fight evaporated as a Cotto or Canelo unification became a possibility because that's a big $ title fight in GGG's own division. For years, K2 and HBO were waiting for Ward to actually get in the ring and rebuild his brand so they could make the fight a financial possibility. This is documented in the interview GGG gave regarding the meeting with HBO. Never disputed. If you want to call that earning it, then yeah, Ward needed to get back in the ring and earn it.

If you didn't have selective memory regarding the history of GGG/Ward, you'd understand my point. There are some legit criticisms of K2's handling of this situation -- you don't need to twist facts, alter history, and misquote people to make a case. But that's pretty much all you do here.

I hate when these guys put on their promoter hat so much. BHOP was started his career at Light Heavyweight and was always at the very least a guy who was more like a Super Middleweight who cut weight. It's not the same as Golovkin. Also dude never even moved up in weight until he lost to Taylor twice and had no choice.

I don't believe for 1 second that you actually believe what you typed in that post..... NOT 1 SECOND..... that Team Bull**** made up a catchweight they didn't want, just to make some obscure "F you" reference to Andre Ward......

And BTW, Hypekin just got " fcuk you'd " by Canelo LMAO
164 an obscure reference?..It was thrown out in an interview (no official offer was ever sent) in July of last year about 3 weeks after Ward gave his ? or 9 excuses?interview and Golovkin fired back with the as a man, youre dead to me?interview in which he details a previous meeting with HBO where GGG said yes to the fight and Ward said no. Golovkins account of this meeting was never disputed by anyone.

A few weeks later Ward offers 50/50 @ 168 as GGG has already signed on for the Lemieux fight with the Cotto/Canelo winner on deck. Ward wants at least one tuneup and would be looking to fight GGG in the first half of this year, 2016. Thats a fight 7 or 8 months down the road with a guy whos had one tune up fight at 172 against a 30-something ranked bum in front of less than 400k on BET. GGGs camp quickly turns down the offer because as Loeffler says, It wouldve been a bad deal to take.?Do you think RocN and Ward might have known this was a lousy offer from GGGs perspective? Ward then runs to the press and calls Golovkin LilG?as RocN claims ?6 minutes!?shows GGG never wanted the Ward fight to begin with. Everyones still waiting to see those damning emails Ward has on his phone. Have you seen them?

And dont give me the well, Froch and Chavez??BS. 164 was banter. And it was a more-than-fair meet in the middle offer considering the work Ward had put in the past couple of years. K2 offered Froch and Chavez 168 because they needed them for $ and exposure. They knew they were clearly the b-side. Ward hadnt done **** in years, and if he was a true SMW, a catchweight of 164 and a 50/50 split was perfectly fair and more than he deserved at the time.

Way to miss the point genius.....

              1) Suggesting that Ward needs to beat ANYONE in order to " qualify " to fight Hypekin..... is beyond absurd.

              2) And suggesting that Hypekin will fight Ward AFTER he beats Kovalev at 175..... is also beyond absurd.

              Well done son !

Who did Gilberto Ramirez have to beat in order to "qualify" to fight Hypekin?

Oh right, old Arthur Abraham LMAO

FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Froch at 168

If that is how Team Golovkin do their business.....

..... then Gennady better start chewing lettuce for the lil red kid..... right ?

Or have you decided that school of business is no longer acceptable ?

Three replies in a row ignoring everything I pointed out and offering nothing of substance in return. Enjoy your anger, it's all you've got.

                      Great post.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Whilst I respect Bernard for his great longevity and for fighting guys like: Tarver, Dawson, Calzaghe and Kovalev etc, he only did that from 2006 onwards, where he was in a position where he had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

You've also got to consider that Bernard is 6'1, with a 75" reach.

The question is, would he have gone through the weights had he been GG's size? GG is 5'10, with a 70" reach.

Bernard would never have fought Kovalev had he have been in GG's current position at 34.
