Nobody expects Brand to win but hopefully he keeps trying until the final bell. Some guys gets demoralised once they are having such little success round after round which is what happened a bit with Barrera.

Ward has been fighting soft touches since that super tourney.

Long layoffs and all. He fought mostly at home in that tourney and he has been fighting at home since.

Smith was small and weak opposition at light heavyweight especially. Barrera was inexperienced no matter what top fighter would have fought him. Brand is a small inexperienced soft touch.

Lets all hope kovalev fights ward in new york with the new york atmosphere with fair judges and a fair ref who wont allow over clinching and headbutts..

Yea, good point..... Ward can suck the life out of his opponents.

Don't know much about Brand, but he sounds like an honest fighter.

I'm trying to figure out what fight he was watching, the fight I seen Barrera was getting the brakes beat off of him?
