      I don't think it's a good comparison. Ward is ahead of Roy in terms of craft. He doesn't rely on his gifts as much as Roy did.

        Yea, Roy was blessed with reflex and speed. Picking up that weight sapped it.

          I don't know about this. He relies on physical strength more so than Roy and Fat Toney. Kovalev was able to rough him up a bit so imagine what a heavyweight would do.

              Good point...but bulking up for Ward will require putting on a bunch of muscle. Taking that muscle off is going to sap something from him too...even if the harm isn't as dramatic as it was with RJJ.

                  I just don't think ward is big enough, nor has the punch to move up, against the right guy? Yeah, it's possible, but it's a lot to ask, though I can appreciate him wanting to seek greatness though.

                    To do what Roy Jones did he needs a potato bag like John Ruiz, and that only comes one in a lifetime. Luckily, we have Tyson Fury, which could fit that description.
