Comments Thread For: Indongo To Vacate? Lipinets-Hooker For IBF Belt on Ward-Kovalev?

Alex Vaysfeld, manager of undefeated junior welterweight Sergey Lipinets (12-0, 10 KOs), has been advised by sourced that Julius Indongo (22-0, 11 KOs) is likely going to vacate his IBF world title. Lipinets is the mandatory challenger to Indongo's IBF belt and the sanctioning body has already issued an order which directs that fight to take place.

      Lol...

Why would he fight Lipinets for peanuts when he can make MUCH MORE money fighting someone else for the WBA and IBO?

The guy is in his mid 30's already. He has no need to be building up a "legacy."

Just like GGGift is ducking the Jacobs rematch.

Indongo probably don't even know about this, that might be some sneaky **** by Al Haymon to get the belt for Lipinets who's asking to be exposed - I don't see nothing special about the guy - and keep him on the cherry diet, holding the belt hostage. He's with Al Haymon, and I'm not saying it's a bad thing for Haymon, if I was in the boxing business I'd be doing the same

Indongo beats Lipinets, he has reach and speed advantage

Well, there goes the possibility of a mega unification for supremacy at 140. Lipinets blasts out Hooker

After 2 guys shared all the belts, it looks like they will be spread out again. Man, full unification is so hard to nail down.

Lipinets vs Indongo could of been a good fight as well.
I'd take Lipinets to beat Hooker, who got a gift from the heavens in that draw with Perez.

Wonder who Indongo's team have in mind next?

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

Troy gave Indongo his shot for "peanuts" and Indongo is required to do the same. And who are these bigger paydays?

If he drops the title it's a duck. I expect at least one mandatory defense out of champions. That's just the standards I set for champions.

Why do we give a **** about unifications when titles get fractured immediately after?
