Can Lomachenko bully Rigondeaux and walk him down?

Will Loma be successful taking that approach and how will Rigo react?

Rigo is trash and no one wants to watch him. However, LOMA needs to #SparMcGregor #AllTalkNoBark This little fraud would get sparked by Conor.

Rigo would react with tons and tons of counters...

... in order to walk Rigo down, one has to find him first... which is quite difficult...

When you pressure Rigo he fights back with a lot of intensity. There's no way Loma just casually walks Rigo down like he did with Marriaga and does those pitty pat punches to set something up. Rigo isn't going to allow that. Which isn't to say that Loma won't be able to get in close to Rigo, but he'll definitely be eating some hard, crisp straight lefts in the process.

I think Rigo is even more accurate than Loma. Rigo chooses his shots more carefully than Loma and often throws with mean intentions. Loma will, however, probably catch Rigo with something big at some point, and if Rigo doesn't get completely knocked out, expect a serious fight to break out.

All that said, I don't think Loma's gameplan will be to bully Rigo. But to apply pressure intelligently and time Rigo with something big. Don't expect the usual showboating from Loma. We'll probably see the most serious and determined Loma yet. I have NO IDEA how Loma is going to figure out Rigo's timing though, lol... Rigo is probably the hardest guy to figure out in the ring. But i suppose if anyone can do it, it's Loma.

Loma will have to walk through fire to get to Rigo. I believe he can, but what kind of damage will he take in the process?

Rigo way too smart, adaptable (the Mayweather and Ward gene), explosive, and overall elusive for Loma to have his way with him.

I expect it to go 12 rounds and something along the lines of a 7-5 8-4 fight.

No, he would get caught with a counterpunch. Rigondeaux got a little bit of a pop. Loma would have to do what he does now is use his feet, angles, distance & combos.

He is much bigger and younger than Rigo and he can beat him by coming forward which is how he usually fights. Loma is a clean fighter who uses skill, timing and precision to win. He won't bully Rigo because that isn't the way he fights. Rigo is just as good as Loma for his age and weight class. He is too small and too old to beat Loma and Loma would win by KO in my opinion.

Size difference will the key here. Once Loma realize Rigo's power isn't gonna affect him, it'll be seek-and-destroy mode.

Yes, Rigo is hard to find and a very good counter puncher. But Loma is no pushover either. Plus Loma's activity will be a problem for Rigo. I have not seen Rigo fight with so much activity. He'll be in a surprise at how much active Loma is in the ring.

No. Despite the size advantage, Loma will need to be wary of Rigo's counters. Rigo still has damaging power in his left cross. He set the tone in round 1 against Donaire with that same punch. Additionally, Rigo has superb footwork. Enough to go 12 rounds against Loma.

This would be a tremendous fight. I hope Loma will offer a catch weight or help with Rigo's guarantee fee.
