PFP rankings are just opinion and not provable fact. Anybody can rank the top 10 PFP boxers anyway they want and nobody can prove them wrong. I think Ring's PFP rankings are very good without much to complain about. Clearly Ring thinks GGG beat Canelo or they wouldn't have GGG number 1 and Canelo number 6. I agree with them and every pro boxer or boxing trainer I have heard or read an opinion from thinks GGG deserved to win. I might put Rigo and Canelo higher and Kovalev lower but they are all damn good fighters. I didn't see anybody in Ring's top 10 I didn't think belonged in the top 10. Good job, Ring Magazine.

      Rightfully so...

There is no rightfull P4P champ.

It doesn't mean sht because you can't match it in the ring.

IE: how do you know Alvarez is a better P4P fighter than Rigo?
      You don't and never will.

It's all about fantasy match up.

Crawford is the best and most dominant champion in boxing IMO.
      But in the weakest division.

160 is stronger than 140 with guys like Charlo, Nelo, DJ.

GGG arguably beat both Danny and Nelo so you can make a case for both.

Golovkin beat Danny by 1 pt. and drew Canelo. That just doesn't impress me. I also don't understand how some posters trash competition like Gamboa and Postol but deify Danny Jacobs. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Jacobs is a much much better fighter than both. Postol just got dropped by a bum and gamboa lost to to a bum. If you can't see the difference it's really sad.

Danny Jacobs was dropped by Sergio Mora. A guy with a 26% KO rate. He had also been KO'd before.

Everything you listed about Gamboa and Postol happened after Crawford ruined them. They were highly regarded and undefeated going into their Crawford fights.

That draw with Canelo was a robbery.

I'm more impressed by Danny than Postol.

But again, it's all fantasy match up.

                Yet he stopped Mora twice.

Mora who beat Mosley and Forrest and is no slouch.

Again dude, I never said GGG is the P4P number 1.
I would lean more towards Crawford or Loma/Rigo winner.

But there is no proof or evidence in P4P rankings.

Gamboa had been dropped before many times and postol was just overrated. Jacobs lost to an undefeated fighter at the top of the mw division not some bum with multiple losses.

Getting dropped dosen't mean much if you come back and ko the guy twice in back to fights. Rigo has been dropped multiple times by guys far worse than mora.

The fact you are still saying gamboa and postol are on the level of jacobs shows you don't know much about the sport.

So Ring has GGG #1 and TC #2 and TBRB has 'em the other way round - either way they both have 'em top 2. Given that p4p is about as far from an exact science as you can get don't you think accusations of bias are a bit unwarranted based on this minor difference in opinion?

See what I mean about it being a bit silly to take this **** seriously?

There's broad agreement on who the ten or so best fighters in the world are, with minor differences - anyone who genuinely thinks they can tell with exactitude the precise order those guys should come in, is of course entitled to their opinion - myself I think the whole fuckin thing's a pile of subjective garbage.
