last i checked they put pascal and kov as the mando to stevenson...how the hell is that proof of the wbc being on their knees for adonis?btw both guys got offers and turned it down
Exactly part of the reason why they turned down the fight is because Adonis Stevenson has power. I don't think anyone will step up to the plate until Adonis starts showing signs of declining. They want to be paid well before they get knocked out
make more reasonable offers? pretty dubious when everyone turns you down. dont think stevenson wanted to share in the pot so he took those easy fights over and over to get most of it. his title run started out solid but his popularity got smaller and smaller, and the overall pot got smaller and smaller. his title reign isnt as bad as wilders but its approaching it. his last 5 opponents have been shockingly bad and for 2 years alvarez has been his mandatory but hes not been able to fight him and we know alvarez wants the fight.
kov was offerd 50-50...u'r so wrong bru...ppl took less money to fight kov instead of fightin stevenson for more money.
I don't see these "ex-Soviet school" guys wishing to fight each other... i.e. Kovalev(WBO champ -- very likely), Beterbiev (IBF champ) , Gvozdyk, Bivol (regular WBA champ)... They would rather look to chase Stevenson, Barrera, Badou Jack...
... he didn't... and Kovalev "offered" him a fight in Russia (not long ago)...
he beat him twice though kovalev claims he won both despite everyone around disagreeing with him. one of them was close but Kovalev was not a great amateur and the pros are diffrent but historically those who win the ammys win in the pros too. though it's something like 70% which isnt significant enough.
the fight in russia was for less than he was making in montreal fighting cans and it's not like beterbeiv said no GYM said no. gym who beterbiev left for top rank.
I think Kovalev vs beterbiev is a fairly even fight. but I think kovalev has looked bad recently. so slight favour for beterbiev.
