Comments Thread For: Josesito Lopez: I Know People Are Overlooking Me vs. Thurman

Josesito Lopez understands exactly why he was chosen as the opponent for Keith Thurman's first fight back in two years. He's also fully aware of his perceived chances of victory and that there's nothing he can do to change anyone's mind until fight night. All he can do is own it. In other words, nothing new for a career-long underdog.

I really hope Josesito makes true on his word and brings fourth a great effort against Thurman. Taking on Thurman now, after a long layoff, is the best time for Josesito to produce an upset even if the odds are greatly stacked against him. Good luck Josesito! Bring the ruckus!

Man this crap is a joke.

Josesito was always c level and at this point in his career he’s D level now, Thurman is a biitch for choosing such joke of a fight.

      Typical Haymon fighter *****assnesss.

You been saying that for years Lopez and you've came up short in just about every step up fight you've had. No one is overlooking you're simply not on Thurman's level and your 34 years old. I was not impressed by what I seen in footage posted of your training for this fight, no explosiveness at all and looking past it...

What are you talking about? The dude's been out of the ring for 2 years. Did you expect him to jump in against Spence or Crawford first fight back? Lopez is a perfectly reasonable comeback opponent. He has lost to most of the top level fighters he's faced, but he's no tomato can.

Anyone know how much cash they're making for this fight? Lopez has made decent cash at his level ($212,500 vs Canelo, about $140,000 vs Ortiz).

This should be a KO for Thurman. If not, then obviously hes lost all that KO power because of his surgeries.

wat ko power....all his kos were against cans..."One-Time" hasnt kod anyone since he started to face legit opponents....he prefers to move alot and play it safe. And Lopez is NOT legit competition...will most likely get kod.

Lopez is nobody, his best win is Ortiz. Should be easy win for Thurman.

I would love for Josesito to take Thurman's 0 even if it means Spence doesn't get it just to get Thurman out of the way. Don't expect it'll happen, but I'll probably bet Josesito cuz he's not as big of a dog as those odds are suggesting.
