Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Want To Thank Bob Arum For All The Publicity

NEW YORK- Eddie Hearn couldn't help but laugh at the irony. The veteran promoter from England had to endure insults throughout fight week heading into unbeaten lightweight Devin Haney's eventual stoppage win over Russia's Zaur Abdullaev in New York City. Only it wasn't anyone involved in Friday's show at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater, but rather Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum who was on the other side of the United States promoting Tyson Fury's clash with Sweden's Otto Wallin in Las Vegas.

AJ/Matchroom fans take cues from Eddie Hearn. That's why the majority of them are bellends. Fat, silver-spoon Eddie, hating on his peers' success, and trying to make it all about him. What's new?

... don't pay too much attention -- Arum and Hearn are still doing business together...

Honestly tired of promoters getting so much publicity. They took over the sport, Arum is cringe worthy and I guess boxing writers, journalists, podcasters are scared to ask Arum real questions and they let him get away with too much. Can’t wait till he’s out of the sport, he’s cancer

Hearn is clueless as well and I feel though he’s in cash out mode.

Arum and Top Recycle are going to keep Boxing off ESPN. Thanks

Not sure why any of the big fighters would ever sign with a promoter in 2019, if they have to sign with a network for a big deal do that but have your own promotional company and keep more of your money.....its the fighters?purse, why would they want someone elses diviing out their hard earned money. I swear these jokers get more air time than any fighters and thats because of their sycophantic fans, especially the Hearn fan base on ifl tv

Agreed. They don't need promoters, they just need managers who understand the the business side of boxing. Mayweather's model didn't work exclusively because of how good he was, it worked because he aligned himself with those that understood the business while learning as much as he could at the same time.

So what started this latest back and forth between the two? Very hard to keep up now a days. One day Hearn and DLH are beefing, then it's Hearn and Arum, and then it is Arum and DLH.

Truly a daily soap opera lol.
