Comments Thread For: Kovalev: Canelo is Biggest Test, Tougher Fight Than Andre Ward!

Sergey Kovalev does not believe he's a sacrificial opponent simply put in front of Canelo Alvarez to hand over his title on the Mexican superstar's quest to becoming a four-division champion. Kovalev is a proud 36-year-old WBO light heavyweight champion who's made eleven lifetime defenses of his crowns. On Nov. 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he will face his toughest test to date against a natural middleweight who is moving up two divisions to specifically fight him.

So - you’re telling us you will lose? Awesome - next call is to Paddy Power

He's still sour about the Ward losses and his fans will only enable him to make more excuses if he loses again.

Face it....Ward knocked you off of the pedestal and you haven't been the same since,.

On the other hand, I still feel Canelo has bitten off more than he can chew. We will see next weekend!

You expect Kov to say this. I'm sure his check is much bigger for Canelo than it was for Ward.

exactly. he'll win if he boxes and punches from the outside, but his instructions are to make sure clenelo gets the nod.

so basically he's conceding that he'll lose the fight? Kovalev is basically admitting that this is a cashout fight

Seriously? Is there 1 thing that Canelo does better than ward in the ring? Especially at 175?
