But one thing for sure , you can tell when your hands are wrapped differently
    Especially with plaster
The guy didn’t even need that , he was a good fighter with heart and that Mexican mind

I’m sure there was never an open discussion about the wraps. Cheaters quit when you take their weapon away like Liston with the acid on his gloves.

No drama here, he just got too old and worn for the sport. Thousands of boxers before him have experienced the same natural ending of a career

That broken orbital bone pretty much ended him.

It's like a reminder. A tattoo. A testament to Pacman's prime power against 165lbs Margarito.

I have mixed feelings about margarito. On one hand I really enjoyed his career when he was an up-and-coming fighter and a boogie man in the welterweight division.

But I am left morbidly curious about when he started using the loaded hand wraps. There are two other high-profile fights that make me think he had them. The first Cotto fight and also the fight where he nearly took off a guy's ear. Sebastian Lujan I think his name was. The hardness of his gloves and punches is what lacerated that guy's ear.

I think margarito had absolute crappy management back in the day. If he were around in the easy money days of Al Haymon and dazn. That we have now. He would have maximized his prime better. I think to some extent margarito had a wasted Prime. He was a shell of himself in the Mosley fight and that was basically his first fight as a true headlining a side. It took him his entire Prime just to get to that spot. Fighters nowadays are moved much more carefully and are given Marquee fights much easier.

This mexican-american cheater should have been locked up & his boxing license suspended for life . POS

                      I agree.

Pacman's Elusive Dance won against the plaster of paris

No way Margarito was not wearing plaster that night. Broke the Pacman's ribs and made him pee blood.

But still, the Pacman took his eye....forever...
