I'm one who said it would never happen, not because I'm a hater, but because I thought her and her advisors would see it as too high risk. She was clearly dominated on the second half of the fight and was extremely lucky to get the decision.

Props to her, she's shown she wants to be the real champ and has bigger balls than most of the male champs her position previously. I say good luck, it's a brave move and I hope it doesn't backfire.

You didn’t speak wrong at all
She only taking the fight cause there’s no way out
Women boxing is not to dimensional
      Not many options for her
If she had balls , as you say , she would of given the rematch right away but wtv

        This is great news anyway.

Fair enough and respect to Katie Taylor for taking this risky rematch against Delfine Persoon.

My post isn’t targeted at someone as yourself. The ones who the post is targeted at know who they are. They don’t express opinions with facts, they do it through hate, and the Taylor hate is only due to her association with Hearn. Boxers are not scared of each other. From these whole scenario it was apparent Serrano didn’t want the fight. Persoon as stepped in now. And that’s all that matters, the haters can move the go post again.

Usually "finalized" means almost official. But with these two it can be a done deal with a handshake! Two class act tough as nails reps to the sport of boxing! I don't want to hear "she has no other options. Must take this fight." Taylor wanted this fight more than any and right away after the first fight. I don't see her as a whiner or excuse maker. She has great integrity and in my opinion a tremendous heart! I can say the same for Persoon, I would think. Nothing says to me otherwise. A couple ambassadors to the sport. A shout out to those wannabe all they say to be and no show with excuses- the money gets spent but what is accomplished is always with you. Win or lose the act and extraordinary effort will last forever! Props to womens boxing! The saving grace to many cards I've seen. Props to both fighters!! Super props to the warrior lass!!! Up Irish!!!

Respect for taking the rematch; this is a harder fight than Serrano. Hope it isn't the blatant robbery the first fight was.

I genuinely still don't understand why it matters to anyone which promoter a fighter has, unless they are actively stopping the big fights. Other than that why care? They're insignificant beyond the making of the fight, but I see people on here going nuts hating this one and that one.
I have noticed the hate to fighters and promoters seems generally to be based on some nationalistic or racial prejudice... But again who cares. If there's a tiny pygmy guy smashing the opposition then I'm watching, talent is talent...

That’s why I called them haters, they have no knowledge of a lot of the situations, but they see hater due to someone else’s association with a promoter that they do not like. Taylor is a stand up lady, good fighter, calm, focus and dedicated. Is that enough for some? Nope, not when she is associated with Hearn.
